Can you see the Cross from where you are?

Can you see the Cross from where you are? Shortly after I was diagnosed with Cancer, I made a trip to Redwood City, California with our oldest to  check out his soon to be new home town.  We were so fortunate that my brother-in-law had lived in Redwood City for a long time and still had several good friends that lived there and attend Church in Redwood City.  We were able to connect with them and stay at Fred and Dianne’s while we were getting the lay of the land. At the time we knew I was sick, but still hadn’t settled on a plan and weren’t even sure how sick I was.  We were pretty shook up, not really sure what life had in store for us, and not sure it was a wise idea for Austin to pack up and head halfway around the country to be a stranger in a strange land. God knew our uneasiness and he guided us every step of the way.  It was very important to Yvette and I that Austin found a place where he could connect with a family to help support him during the move and start over time.
