The Rock

God Rocks...

Yvette and I made a trip to Colorado to get away.  She, Kara, and I took a drive to look at the Aspens as they were turning.  Unfortunately there had been a hard freeze early so the colors were muted and we were a little disappointed that we were missing out on one of God’s most pretty paintings.

As we were pulling up to the Eisenhower Tunnel Kara said, “let’s go over Loveland Pass, it’s a beautiful drive”  so we got off at Loveland and drove up to the pass.  We pulled over at the top to take a picture at the monument sign.  The message God had for us at that moment will be with me for the rest of my life.

A rock was resting against the leg of the sign.  The message was   “ My love for you can not be measured,

-God”

In the sermon on the mount Jesus tells of the importance of the Rock in building our foundation...

““Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:24-25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Rock is Christ Jesus, and the foundation is His Love for us.  This is our Good News...
